125 ANNIVERSARY YEAR - HEANOR & DISTRICT 6 a side. Sunday 28th JULY 2024

The planning for this event was completed by Andy Findlay and Shipley looked in fine shape after the early morning preparations by Andy's helpers. There were six teams taking part and the matches were arranged in tw round robin divisions.The teams The Bell,Smalley Heanor Running Club Sheffield Owls Weleda (D La Orange) Vets for Pets A Shipley 6- (no pic)

It proved to be a colourful affair with D'La Orange paticulaly sparkling. The matches proved to be somewhat one sided as The Bell and Heanor Running Club sported the most knowledgeable and fit competitors. It was those two teams who reached the final with The Bell comng out on top. A raffle with 40+ prizes was held and the bar did good business throghout the day. Kevin Farnsworth provided a Race Night to top off the event. It was a sucessful if very tiring day for the volunteers and we hope to repeat it in future seasons. Special thanks to helpers Di Storer, Olly Hanson and bar staff but to abve all Andy who finally got home with knowledge of a day well received.
